michigan- land of riches
as an exhibition, “re-examining the old grand rapids public museum”, is fascinating and fantastic. it “offers an opportunity to share the response of young artists to the debris left by the progress of the Public Museum, and ponder our own response.” today i took the boys to visit the old museum-turned post-(post?)-modern-art-deco experience. yes, i did encourage wyatt to pretend to row the boat in one display (im pretty sure it was okay).
for the joy that new life brings
i love shadows and reflections, especially in the evening, even more after the rain. i wandered about eastown during this early saturday evening, remembering to breathe in the fresh air and be thankful that the earth was watered in order to green the world once again. and look at this!!! at first i thought they were winter berries, the kind that stay on bushes through all seasons. but i was wrong. they are buds! the beginnings of flowers. happy easter, new life and hope!
