winter is the time of eating warm food and photographing it.  this week i made buckwheat bread and turkish lentil soup.  yum.

i so miss green growth.  and also this garden.

i know you aren’t supposed to like milkweed plants because they are invasive and take over everything, but i can’t help but appreciate the beautiful shape of their pods and the way they crack open, releasing their graceful, floating seeds to the wind.
