during the fall of 2006 when i was sick of being in school, i took off to france for a few months. i connected with a wonderful family living just outside of paris who welcomed me into their home and through them had the opportunity to be a part of la fonderie, a community that explores the connections between art, culture and the faith of artists who are searching to (re)connect with god. those three months were incredible, difficult, lonely, exciting, and beautiful.
i’ve been waiting (a bit un-patiently at times) to return and i think the time is approaching! my rough plan (subject to many changes, i am sure) is to leave indy in january and stay until may or june when i will return for wedding season. i’m looking for as many connections as i can find. i want to continue my work as a photographer while i’m there so if you live in france and need some photos, i’m all yours. i’ll be looking for a place to live, for friends and/or roommates… all of the things that make up life.
i went through a few pictures from my first time in france yesterday and they weren’t all that bad. i can’t wait to see france again!
