why do these remind me of the land before time? perhaps i will have to revisit the classic film to uncover the mystery.

i know why it reminds you of Land Before Time!

Because Littlefoot had a special leaf that his mom gave him and and there was that scene in the film where the leaf falls to the ground, it’s raining, Littlefoot is sad and alone, and the droplets all surface on the leaf. He sees the memory of his mom in the reflection of the water collecting in the leaf.

It was a scene that would make me cry a little.
